Combs has Cîroc vodka and the Revolt TV network to thank for his latest accomplishment: topping Forbes' list of 2017's wealthiest rappers.

It is the seventh consecutive year that the Bad Boy Records founder would top the list which was released on Wednesday.

This year, Sean Combs "P. Diddy" tops the list with $820 million.

But rapper and producer Jay Z moved into second place largely because of the $200m (£155m) investment in his Tidal music streaming service from U.S. mobile phone operator and communications company Sprint in January. Jay Z might be ahead - hard to say for sure. Beyonce's husband, who is expecting twins with the singer, stands at $810 million net worth. Former N.W.A. member Dr. Dre is close behind with $740 million.

This might be shocking, but Birdman is still ranked in the top five, now holding the number 4 list with a net worth of $110 billion.

Birdman's Cash Money Records, which he presently co-owns, continues to pump out some of the world's hottest stars, including Drake. Meanwhile, Drizzy takes the No. 5 spot ($90 million), thanks to Views, OVO, the "Summer Sixteen Tour", Virginia Black, and his Apple and Nike deals.
