As per the leaked image, OnePlus 5 shows a potential to blow the Samsung Galaxy S8 out of the water.
Sketches that appear to be from the design stages of the OnePlus 5 development have leaked on Chinese network Weibo. Now we're seeing this exclusive screenshot that shows the yet-to-revealed OnePlus 5's score on Geekbench.
Some reports have pointed to a ceramic body for the OnePlus 5. The results show an impressive score of 1963 during the single-core test and the massive 6687 score on the multi-core, topping the GeekBench 4 list. Last year, the OEM released the OnePlus 3 and followed it with an improved OnePlus 3T and rumors are adamant that the upcoming OnePlus 5 will even take this year's battle for supremacy to the next level.
Since the OnePlus 5 is rumoured to be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset as the Galaxy S8, this difference in power is most likely due to more RAM in the OnePlus. That image later turned out to be fake and the OnePlus 5 was then later reported to be coming with a horizontally placed camera units instead. Rumors of a dual rear sensor have been around for a while, though this is the first time that a dual front camera configuration has been teased.
For starters, the design sketches reveal dual cameras on both the front and back of the device. The device will come with OnePlus's very own Oxygen operating system based on Android Nougat. The publication added that OnePlus would rearrange the antenna lines to give the phone's back panel a seamless look.
Specs to leak from other sources so far include a QHD display, 8GB of RAM and a 3,600mAh battery.
If an "early summer" release date sometime in June is right, we'll have more details soon. However, reports believe the OnePlus 5 will have a 3.5mm headphone jack and possible be water-resistant. It also considered a rounded edging that is similar to the OnePlus 3T.
