For months leading up to its release, Wonder Woman was treated as a litmus test for the market viability of female creatives and female heroes.

Directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot under Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, the film grossed an estimated $100.5 million at more than 4,000 theaters domestically, according to a statement from Warner Bros. I mean, the movie is called "Wonder Woman', so it's definitely Gal's show and she does a tremendous job leading it".

It seems that "Wonder Woman" has been at the center of controversy for weeks, even though the superhero movie only hit theaters this weekend.

It seems Cavuto and his guests are in the minority in the USA about how people feel about this new Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, who is Israeli. But "Wonder Woman" had something those movies didn't - critical support (it now has a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes).

The audience was also slightly more female than a usual superhero film, although - get your smelling salts ready! - lots of men also came to see the film. The previous record holder, "Fifty Shades of Grey", brought in $85.2 million in 2015.

"Wonder Woman", though, pushed the week's box office up 30 percent over the same week past year, according to comScore.

Coming in at No. 2 is "Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie".

Cast member Gal Gadot poses at the premiere of "Wonder Woman" in Los Angeles, California U.S., May 25, 2017.

What did you think about Calderone's new Wonder Woman metal cover? She's had over 100 years in the cinematic universe to hone her fighting skills in the real world after her World War I debut. "I'm sure we're doing the right thing finally telling this story now", she added. Now that it was released, the figure supported the poll.
