Germany global Huth has not played this season after undergoing ankle surgery in the summer while James has been absent since September due to an Achilles issue.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has insisted that Riyad Mahrez must show more consistency in his game.

Nigeria worldwide Wilfred Ndidi put up a fine performance as Leicester City defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in their English Premier League fixture on Tuesday.

"Then I think Chelsea, ourselves, Liverpool, Spurs, them teams are very equal".

Given Spurs' run of fixtures up to Christmas - Leicester, Watford, Stoke, Brighton, Man City, Burnley - they should expect a number of those sides to seek to emulate West Brom by clogging up the central areas and dropping into deep positions.

Tottenham have lost their last two Premier League away games - they haven't lost three in succession on the road in the competition since March 2014 under Tim Sherwood.

But the ex-Southampton boss is not concerned by the reaction and expects Mahrez to remain at Leicester ahead of the January transfer window. Three times in the opening two minutes Leicester tried to get Vardy in behind the Spurs defence but on each occasion the final ball was just lacking.

Former Spurs midfielder Redknapp warned that selling Rose to Manchester United could cause some unhappiness amongst Tottenham's best players.

"It's a good thing when a player is not happy but now it's important to help him have more consistency once again because he is an important player for us and it's important he can play on his part of the pitch with all his qualities. It is a good balance between them both".

Striker Fernando Llorente also entered the fray as the visitors continued to try and find a way back into the game, with Eriksen miskicking hopelessly wide from just six yards out.
