Franken came by, Menz told reporters, and "pulled me in really close, like awkward close, and as my husband took the picture, he put his hand full-fledged on my rear". After a recount, however, in which every decision of the canvassing board seemed to go his way, he was declared the victor by 225 votes and was finally seated as a USA senator in July of 2009.
A photo released by Menz shows Franken standing close to her, although his hands are not visible. And later, on the way back on the plane, he grabbed her breasts while she was sleeping. He has since apologized to her but added that he remembers their encounter differently.
Menz said in 2010 she went to the Minnesota State Fair with her husband and father and met various officials and celebrities while there, as her father's business was sponsoring a local radio booth.
The national news network says it was contacted by 33-year-old Lindsay Menz, of Texas, and she is accusing Franken of grabbing her buttocks while posing together for a photo at the Minnesota State Fair.
That said, this incident, unlike Tweeden's, occurred after Franken's election. "It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek".
Tweeden claims that Franken sexually harassed and assaulted her on a number of occasions during a USO entertainment tour in the Middle East in 2006.
Franken told CNN in a statement he did not recall his meeting with Menz but said he felt "badly" for how she felt following their interaction.
Menz also said she posted the photo with Franken on Facebook on August 27, and when her sister commented on the photo, she replied: "Dude - Al Franken TOTALLY molested me!"
