Margot Robbie Is Developing Her Own 'Totally Separate' Harley Quinn Movie

With Suicide Squad 2, Gotham City Sirens, and a Joker and Harley spin-off in the works, Harley Quinn is about to be all over our big screens. There's also a Joker/Harley standalone film in development, rumors that Robbie will voice Harley in the upcoming animated series for DC's digital platform, and now her own standalone Harley project, which she casually alluded to working on for the past two years.

She told them: "It's hard to kind of talk about it because all this stuff is under like, kind of lock and key".

Margot Robbie struts her way out of her hotel on Thursday night (November 30) in New York City.

"I've been working on it for two years now", the star of I, Tonya told MTV News in an interview. It's a totally separate one.

Robbie did get more specific when discussing what she wants to see in the film. "She needs other girls around her because she loves that.' And you see it in the comics, she loves meeting people, any people, but she needs a little girl gang". If it were up to her, we may have even seen that in Suicide Squad to begin with.

Speaking about what she would want to do with Harley in the project, Robbie said: "I would like to see her with other women". And Margot Robbie says you can add one more Harley-centric project to your bucket list: a solo movie. Yeah, I'm sure Warner Bros. won't bungle this all.

Is there such a thing as too much Harley Quinn?

There's little other news other than that now, but we'll keep you posted. "I kept saying it when we were shooting Suicide Squad, I was like, 'She needs her girlfriends.' Like, she needs other girls around her because she loves that". It seems like it's best for Warner flawless their craft instead of tacking on even more projects on their already-hefty plate.
