Washington D.C.: Selena Gomez is Billboard's "Woman of the Year", but she feels that for her this accolade should go to her best friend and kidney donor, Francia Raisa.

Famous singer Selena Gomez (Selena Gomez) from the US continue to experiment with your appearance, delighting their many fans. That Q&A (read it here) generated several intention-setting mantras, including "I want to live a life that's worth living" and "I'm actually grateful for who I am". "That was the day I came home and she [Raisa] volunteered, she did it", Gomez told host Savannah Guthrie in an interview with NBC's The Today Show in October.

In a speech before giving Gomez the award, Raisa said she "didn't' think twice" about her decision. The 25-year-old faced serious (and understandable) backlash, because the 82-year-old was accused of sexually abusing his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, when she was just seven years old.

She's proud of her transplant scar. It's a really attractive thing and I have to remind myself of that.

Meanwhile, if she wanted to cover up her scar, she could, but doesn't plan to just yet: "When I look at my body now, I just see life". "It was really hard in the beginning", she admitted. She's enjoying where she is, being able to say no and "being part of the world".

Gomez said she "didn't have the greatest confidence" during her early auditions and was passed up.

"I love Kevin [Systrom], the creator of Instagram, and he has gotten mad at me in the past when I was like, 'I have to take a break from it, '" Selena shared.
