This means when Sea of Thieves releases worldwide on March 20th, 2018 at both physical and digital retail stores, the game will also be fully playable on Xbox Game Pass too.

Seeing as some of the games - and all future first-party ones - are Xbox Play Anywhere titles, many wanted to know if the same promotion also extends to PC.

This is no doubt an incredible deal for gamers everywhere. The new strategy will kick off when Sea of Thieves launches in two months with future Microsoft-released titles to follow.

The service has been dubbed the "Netflix of games" by the media on more than one occasion and with good reason.

"Moving forward, we plan to release all new Xbox One exclusive games from Microsoft Studios into Xbox Game Pass on the same date as their global release", the release states.

Each month, Xbox Game Pass will add a new set of games to the catalogue, much in the same way Xbox One Backwards Compatibility titles are added.

The featured "Enhanced" games are Assassin's Creed: Origins, Forza Motorsport 7, Super Lucky's Tale, Cuphead, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, Halo 5: Guardians, FIFA 18, Minecraft, Star Wars Battlefront II, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, and (of course) more.

Xbox Game Pass launched in June 2017, expanding to 40 countries in September.

Until now, the Game Pass service has been home to more than 100 games - but all of which were established and long since released Xbox games. We've listened to our community and are excited to be bringing this new console to Indian gamers. Are you already a satisfied subscriber?

Xbox One X can be purchased online in India from Flipkart, Amazon and (naturally) Microsoft India store.
