"This is my life now".
While there is no immediate word on any potential opponents for Rousey, it was clear from her appearance that she will be involved in this year's WrestleMania. "When I first met with Triple H, I told him, "There are other things I can do with my time that'll make way more money, but I won't enjoy almost as much".
It could not have been a more dramatic moment, in terms of the world of WWE. Joan Jett's empowering and badass song "Bad Reputation" came over the speakers and Rousey's name lit up the screens. She strolled to the ring, walked in, pointed to the WrestleMania sign, shook Stephanie McMahon's hand, and walked out.
Rousey told ESPN: "This is my life now". I'm just, like I'm still processing it. "I mean, I never retired from judo".
Rousey spoke with ESPN following the WWE anouncement and of course, the inevitable question came up. The other wrestlers in the ring - Asuka and WWE women's champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair - all looked stunned, the crowd looked thrilled and Rousey basked in it all.
"I think that's a pretty big fat hint that I'm going to be at WrestleMania, yeah", Rousey told WWE.com when asked what her gesture to the sign indicated.
White has long expressed doubt that Rousey, with whom he is close, will participate in any more MMA fights, all but urging her to pursue a full-time acting career. After Lesnar, she is the second risky MMA fighter who, enter to WWE with a surprising entrance in Royal Rumble. Despite the distraction, Rousey did what many expected and did in fact show up to the show in Philadelphia.
"Happy #RoyalRumble day. Wanna wish every single lady who is participating to absolutely kill it", she wrote. Ronda posted videos from Colombia on her Instagram and was tagged as being out of the country.
It was official, the deal was done, Rhona Rousey was here.
