If you've been keeping track of Avengers: Infinity War, you'll likely remember the moment when a Fandango survey crowned Marvel's star-studded event movie as the most-anticipated new release of 2018. The company launched a new trailer for Infinity War today that once again prepares us for the arrival of Thanos and his assault on Earth. If the current advanced ticket sales on Avengers: Infinity War are any indication, Infinity War will be on pace to completely smash the numerous records that were just set by Black Panther, and perhaps more.
Our favorite members of the Avengers are teaming up to fight Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. One Stone's location, however, remains in secret, as well as who among the characters might be possessing it and this is the Soul Stone.
Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel, was confirmed to appear in Avengers 4. Again, you'd have to have put yourself on a much longer internet and social media ban to not already know that was going down. It's the third Avengers film, but will serve as the beginning of the end to what's been a 10-year journey of Marvel films, which kicked off with "Iron Man" back in 2008. However, the most intriguing thing about the trailer is what it didn't show us. And the highlight has to the epic joke towards the end when Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) introduces himself as Doctor Strange and Peter Parker (Tom Holland) replies, "Oh, we're using our made-up names". For that reason, there's a lot of anticipation heading into Infinity War's April 27 release date.
Along with the trailer release, Marvel also released the official poster.
Anthony and Joe Russo are directing the film.
The currently-untitled Avengers 4 features a cast made up of numerous key players in Infinity War - alongside newcomers like Brie Larson and Evangeline Lilly - and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
