Bryant, meanwhile, was charged with felony grand theft.

Sunday was a star-studded night Oscar night in Los Angeles, filled with dazzling ensembles, celebrities and Academy Award winners - though the show did get historically low television ratings. In the video, a man in a tuxedo who appears to be Terry Bryant is holding an Oscar statuette proudly. The photographer did not recognize Bryant as a recipient from the awards show and believed he was in possession of a trophy which did not belong to him. Officers took him into custody shortly before midnight, according to LAPD.

Bryant had a ticket to the Oscar's ceremony but police are not sure how he obtained access to McDormand's award. Security at the event was notified and detained Bryant. "We got it tonight, baby".

It was the second time McDormand had bagged the Best Actress statuette following her win for Fargo 21 years earlier, and her acceptance speech was a highlight of the evening.

Further added, "And now I want to get some perspective", she said.

"After a brief time apart, Frances and her Oscar were happily reunited". As Buckley reported, the Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri actress was eventually reunited with her Oscar and had her evening unsoured thanks to Puck's photographer.

The actress rattled off a fairly run-of-the-mill list of thank-yous, but then put her Oscar statue down and asked all the female nominees in every category to stand with her. "Meryl, if you do it, everybody else will".
