In what has since amounted to dozens of tweets on Wednesday, rapper#Kanye West has expressed his support for Donald Trump.
"You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him", West continued. Many people from the hip hop community have been critical of his political alignment but one person who's come to his defense is none other than Chance The Rapper.
"I don't agree with everything anyone does", he added.
"Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed", West tweeted out. "And I won't stop fighting until all black Americans see that", she wrote on April 21.
"Before I was aware you were a Trump lover I thought you were nuts".
"I love the way Candace Owens thinks", West wrote.
After tweeting that Trump is a "terrible human being", he clarified that he doesn't have any ill will for Kanye.
The Heartless singer tweeted that Trump was his "brother", that he loves him and they both have "dragon energy".
After getting a supportive retweet from President Trump, the "Yeezus" rapper apparently lost 9 million followers minutes later.
West famously met with Trump in December 2016 at Trump Tower during the then-President-elect's transition period and that encounter also generated intense backlash from West's fans. "So, they're streaming music in The Sunken Place??" he asked, referencing "the suspended animation of how we look at race in America" from Jordan Peele's Get Out. Kanye is years ahead of his time.
"I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself", Kanye said in the tweet. "She's fully supportive of him".
