Conte says Huddersfield result 'very hard to explain'

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has defended his decision to start with forward, Eden Hazard on the bench during the Blues' 1-1 draw with Huddersfield in Wednesday's Premier League clash.

"It's very hard to explain the draw today because when you have 82% possession, and create many chances, concede only counter-attack, and draw the game... it's very hard to explain", said the Italian. Football is simple. If you want to win, you have to score one goal more than your opponent.

Morata is well liked in Turin, where he scored 27 goals in two seasons before being bought back by Real Madrid. It is not the first time that we are not clinical, there are many circumstances for this. We tried to win the game until the end.

Chelsea will be hoping that Morata takes up Cascarino's advice against Manchester United in the FA Cup final which is, later on, this month. "To make rotations means to play people like (Alvaro) Morata, Willian and (Andreas) Christensen who could play every game".

"He is Chelsea's player and must be ready to play tomorrow [vs Huddersfield] and next season".

"We have a squad that can win, today we spent a lot of energy against Liverpool".

Morata made a promising start to his Chelsea FC career with nine goals in eight games but his form soon took a downturn.

The Blues are gunning for a victory which could propel the club into the top-4, depending on the outcome of Tottenham's match with Newcastle, while relegation-threatened Huddersfield are desperately seeking the point that will secure their top-flight survival.
