Monday is deadline to register for June Primary election

County election boards are starting to send reminders to Oklahoma voters that the deadline is nearing to register to vote in the June 26th primary. This is not common practice in Porter County, and it resulted in one relative of a nursing home resident calling and saying that the resident should not have voted due to Alzheimer's compromising her understanding of voting.

That a voter who requested an absentee ballot several times never got one.

Minors who are 17 years old but will be 18 years old on or before the November 6, 2018 General Election are eligible to register and vote in the Primary. If you need to report something, call the Kentucky Attorney General Election Fraud Hotline at 1-800-328-8683.


Voting only takes a few minutes and polls are located in many convenient locations.

Austin's neighbor to the north, the 14th-fastest growing county in the country, will have 32 Election Day polling places.

Conditional voter registration is available up through 8 p.m. on the June 5 election day, and for the 14 days before all future elections.

Officials with the Indiana Election Division of the Secretary of State's Office have said Porter County was the only county in the state where election duties are handled through voter registration, and in the majority of counties in the state, the clerk handles elections.
