Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a name to know.

At a glance, numerous Justice Democrats have tougher primaries than Ocasio-Cortez.

"Because, she really, she represents the future of our party", Perez said, complimenting the self-described Democratic socialist for running a "spirited campaign".

The Justice Democrats have seen their fundraising double since Ocasio-Cortez's victory, but much of the momentum behind the drive to elect progressives pre-dates her June 26 primary. "What we did is we changed who turns out", Ocasio-Cortez said. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) 2016 presidential campaign, have won primaries for federal-level legislative seats, and the group has propelled dozens of candidates to victories at the state level this year.

Ten progressives endorsed by Our Revolution, the organization spawned by Sen. Growing up, it was a good town for working people. "I'd love to have @Ocasio2018 as a guest on my show and debate her".

In races across the country, Ocasio-Cortez's endorsement has been an incredible signal-booster, drawing fresh attention to candidates who had been struggling for it.

Cardillo is still tweeting about Ocasio-Cortez a day later. But some of her biggest margins came in Queens neighborhoods like Astoria and Sunnyside, among the whitest areas in the district, which are increasingly attracting young, creative types-who are also most inclined to support insurgent left candidates.

"Thank you, @glennbeck. We may disagree, but I sincerely appreciate the good faith", she tweeted. It was significant not only because she toppled a longtime leader of the Queens political machine and the fourth-ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives, but because she is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

"My mom scrubbed toilets so I could live here & I grew up seeing how the zip code one is born in determines much of their opportunity", she tweeted.

"It's very easy to be generous with other people's money, but be careful trying to use rightful means of theft to try to redistribute what you feel is best for society", Kirk said.

Cardillo has since tweeted more than a few times about Ocasio-Cortez, saying he believes that she'll fail in Congress and that, despite his incorrect mention of where she went to school, he still believes she's "not a 'girl from the Bronx.'".
