XDA leaker dr.guru posted some pictures of a Pixel 3 XL device, showing off the device in all its glory. But thanks to several leaked hands-on photos of the Clearly White variant from XDA Developers, it at least looks like Google will keep the contrasting-colored power button around.
The device itself is said to be a prototype of the Pixel 3 XL which doesn't boot because it has been wiped remotely by Google. But with the leaks coming in hard and heavy here at the tail end of July, we must ask: Will Pixel 3 come early this year?
Front and back
We know that Google is preparing to launch a couple of Pixel 3 phones later this year, and now there are hints that a Pixel Stand charging dock is on the way too. The device isn't far from being publicly released, and new pictures of the device's all-white version have been leaked recently. The notch will likely be used to house the front facing cameras, the Pixel 3 is likely going to have a dual front camera setup.
The phone is an EVT 1.0 model (Engineering Validation Test), sporting 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It makes sense to dock your phone on your desk and still be able to speak to it, as you would Google Home. It's not the first time we learn about Google's plan, but it puts the unannounced charging dock one step closer to reality. Just like with the leaked images of the black Pixel 3 XL, it appears as though the back of the handset is made out of glass and the lower two-thirds of the design is covered in a plastic-like material to provide grip. "The top part is glossy and the bottom is matte but it's a single part", the poster wrote of the glass panel, which may allow for wireless charging.
