Game of Thrones season 8, which is the final season of the popular HBO show, has received its first teaser.

Game of Thrones Season 8. Winter is officially here. A short, under 40 second teaser, gives a feel of what to expect-the clash of ice and fire in the final season of the show.

Is anyone else counting down the days until Game of Thrones returns?

HBO released the first teaser for the final season of GOT on Thursday. Fire in the GOT world represents Daenerys, her dragons and the Targaryens, while ice stands for the fearful White Walkers. Most notably, the lion of Lannister burns up and eventually the ice and fire erupt in the middle of the table. It's a nice nod to the show's source material, George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series.

It's also important to note that the point where the two forces meet is possibly The Twins, which was the home ground of House Frey - till Arya Stark destroyed most of the family. In four months, the final season of the hit HBO fantasy epic will be upon us and the theories and predictions will either come true or fall by the wayside.

After killing dragon Viserion and reanimating him as a Wight, the Night King destroyed The Wall.

In the previous season of "Game of Thrones", Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) made a decision to join forces (and their loins) to defeat the White Walkers.
